I can show you the Windows firewall log (with Windows Firewall ON) that shows it opens up ports and then closes it, even with the exception for that port to be open. I get to the MLSD command when I have Windows Firewall ON with exceptions, but can't get it to open port to generate list. I understand that, but there are no firewalls installed on the server computer (except Windows Firewall) which is disabled. I thank you for your time and will post screen dumps / log file tomorrow. This is more where I think the firewall is blocking the connection (even with the exceptions) but I'm wondering why I get further with the firewall on.Ī Note for when I turn on Windows Firewall "ON" on the server comp.I lose internet across the board throughout the network(using domain / server comp and printers on set IPs and rest auto IP). MLSD command is now where it gets stopped at.

When I started, the FTP server wouldn't even connect (due to old NAT IP in the settings since they had moved). As my name states, I am not that familiar with FTP, but have done my research. I started a new job and they have given me the task of getting the FTP site up and running. I have fully read the Network Config and have some screen dumps that I will post tomorrow. First time poster, but have read a lot of the forums. My FTP server isn't connecting in PASV.hence the shocking look.
